| What is a Config.cfg? Config.cfg holds all your information about you and how you play the game. Such as your name, hotkeys, how your video / audio is, among other options.
What are game hotkeys? Hotkeys are the buttons you press on your keyboard/mouse/controller/other to make something happen in the game. Such as making the player move, fire a weapon, change the camera, switch weapons, create a building, and all sorts of other actions.
How do I change my Config.cfg / Hotkeys? Most games come with an Options Menu when you start the game. From there you usually go to keyboard/mouse or controls, things of that nature. For computer games(GameZ for WindowZ), you can also exit the game and find the file folder where you placed the game. You'll have to know what file you're looking for, in Half-Life/Quake based engines, you're looking for Config.cfg These files are always text based, so, use a text editor to open them. If you don't know what file to look for, post on game forums, see the manual, or go to the game's website.

What is a command line? Command line holds properties you set from the icon/application. They will get executed first or after some Config.cfg when the game runs.

To bring down your console, press the ` ~ button. It's at the top left of your keyboard, just under Escape. If that doesn't work, try Shift and/or Ctrl/Alt ` ~ | |
